Right before this rainbow appeared, a local street preacher arrived at our camp, his heart heavy and his eyes filled with tears. He spoke of the volunteers and community members—both filled with the Holy Spirit and God-fearing people—yet also acknowledged the presence of egos and division, even among those working to help. He spoke of the fine line between human nature and God’s calling. Then, with deep conviction, he declared that even the most hardened atheist, standing in this valley, would have no choice but to see the undeniable miracles of God at work.
And at that very moment, the valley was illuminated by the closest, brightest rainbow I have ever seen. A breathtaking sign of God’s presence. In the Pensacola Valley, there are no coincidences—only the will of God unfolding before our eyes.
Two weeks later, another prayer was answered. I had secured seasoned firewood and prayed that God would lead me to the family who needed it most. Immediately after, while at my day job, I received a phone call from an old customer—someone I hadn’t spoken to in years. Initially, he was calling to sell a treadmill, but our conversation quickly turned to my work in western North Carolina. When I mentioned I was bringing in firewood for those in need before the cold front, I could tell he knew someone who was struggling.
When he asked where I was taking it, I said, “Pensacola, NC.”
He broke down. His son, with a sick infant and six other children, was out of firewood—their only source of heat. God had aligned our paths.
When I delivered the firewood to the family, I showed them this picture of the rainbow from a few weeks prior. The father, overwhelmed, shared something incredible. Before the storm, their fresh drinking water came from a natural spring—right where the rainbow now touched the valley. That spring was now buried under a mudslide. But even in destruction, God had left them a promise—a rainbow stretching across the sky, a symbol that His glory will be restored.
God is moving in the Pensacola Valley. His miracles are undeniable. His promises never fail.
