Our Mission

The Moonshine Rescue Foundation (MSRF) is a crisis management and response organization based in Appalachia, dedicated to providing rapid response, relief, and recovery efforts for communities facing disasters.

Founded in the wake of Hurricane Helene in 2024—a time of overwhelming need for emergency assistance in Western North Carolina—we remain steadfast in our mission to serve those affected by crisis.

Our volunteers include military veterans, first responders, and skilled technical service men and women, all guided by compassion and a deep commitment to service. Through collaborative partnerships, essential resources, and strong communication support, we work to restore hope and rebuild lives.

As the mountain remains fragile due to unstable ground, active mudslides, and the persistent risk of wildfires, our work is more critical than ever. MSRF actively supports both local and national crisis management efforts, serving as boots-on-the-ground responders to ensure the safety and relief of affected families.

We are actively seeking dedicated team members and generous donations to sustain and expand our impact. Together, we can safeguard our communities and build a stronger, more resilient future.
